Make your plan

When you decide to make a change, not knowing what lies ahead can be scary. Your experience will be influenced by how much, how often, and how long you’ve used. Your mental and physical health and attitude will also play a role in how well you get through the desire to use. No one is saying it’ll be easy, but if you expect stopping to be hard, it will be. Your plan to quit or change could include some simple strategies which have been known to work for other people. 

Writing a plan helps you prepare practically and mentally for stopping. In your plan include the following things:

  1. Duration and start date
  2. Where
  3. Meals
  4. Daily routine stuff
  5. Things to do

Record your detox in your online journal

When you kick off your detox plan, write a few sentences about how its going each day. Click "Journal" in the blue menu at the top of the page to open your daily journal area. And don't forget to record your mood each day using the smiley faces.
